Dental clinic in Tripoli: how we work at Ajam Dental Clinic

Updated on 29 October 2026 Ajam Dental Clinic, Tripoli Medically reviewed by Dr. Abdel Rahman Ajam on 1 November 2026

Ajam Dental Clinic is a dental clinic in Tripoli, on Fouad Chehab Boulevard, run by Dr. Abdel Rahman Ajam and Dr. Soumaya Ajam. Our way of working rests on four commitments: meticulous, unhurried treatment; a friendly, patient-centred welcome; reasonable fees that are explained before anything starts; and easy contact with your dentist before and after treatment.

Who we are

The clinic is run by two dentists, each with a clear area of focus:

  • Dr. Abdel Rahman Ajam, DDS, MSc in Aesthetic and Prosthetic Dentistry, graduated from Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth. His work focuses on crowns, veneers, bridges, dentures, smile design and full-mouth rehabilitation.
  • Dr. Soumaya Ajam, DDS, holds university diplomas (DU) in Paediatric Dentistry and in Oral Pathology from Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth. Her specialty is children’s dentistry, and she also follows mouth lesions and general care.

Root canal treatment and re-treatment are carried out at the clinic by a visiting specialist endodontist. You can read more about the clinic and the team.

Meticulous work, step by step

Good dentistry is largely invisible: it lies in the details that decide whether a filling, crown or implant lasts for years. That is why we:

  • Take the time to examine properly, with x-rays when they are useful, before proposing anything
  • Treat the foundations first, such as decay and gum health, before cosmetic or prosthetic work
  • Plan larger treatments carefully, checking bite, proportions and how the result will be cleaned
  • Check fit, bite and comfort at the end of each step, and adjust what needs adjusting
  • Prefer the most conservative option that gives a reliable result

We would rather take a few extra minutes than rush a step that you will live with for years.

A friendly, patient-centred welcome

Many people arrive at a dental clinic with some anxiety, sometimes after difficult experiences elsewhere. We aim to make every visit calm and respectful:

  • We listen first: what bothers you, what you want, what worries you
  • We explain what we see, in simple words, in Arabic, English or French
  • We agree on a sign to pause, and we tell you before each step what you will feel
  • We adapt to children, with explanations at their level and short, positive visits
  • We respect your decisions, including the decision to wait or think it over

Our articles on helping a child who is afraid of the dentist and what to look for when choosing a dentist reflect the same approach.

Reasonable fees, explained in advance

Cost is a real concern for many families in Lebanon. Our commitment is simple:

  • Reasonable fees for the care provided
  • A clear treatment plan with the cost explained before treatment starts
  • Several options when they exist, with honest pros and cons, so you can choose what fits your situation
  • Priorities explained, so urgent treatment can be done first and the rest planned over time
  • No surprises during treatment: if something changes, we discuss it with you before going further

We do not publish prices online, because the right plan and cost depend on your mouth. A consultation gives you a clear answer.

Easy to reach, before and after treatment

  • Each dentist can be contacted directly by WhatsApp, so questions reach the person who knows your case
  • Urgent problems such as pain, swelling or a broken tooth are seen as quickly as possible
  • After surgery or larger treatment, we follow up on healing and comfort
  • We remind you of check-ups and explain how often you need them, as described in our article on check-ups every six months

What we treat

Prosthetic and cosmetic dentistry (crowns, bridges, dentures, E.max and composite veneers, Hollywood smile, whitening), children’s dentistry, extractions including wisdom teeth, root canal treatment by a visiting specialist, dental implants, and preventive care including check-ups, scaling and polishing. The clinic does not offer orthodontics. See all our treatments and preventive care.

Frequently asked questions

How do I book an appointment at Ajam Dental Clinic?

The easiest way is to send a WhatsApp message or call the dentist concerned: Dr. Abdel Rahman Ajam for adult, prosthetic and cosmetic care, or Dr. Soumaya Ajam for children. The numbers are on the contact page. Tell us briefly what the problem is and whether it is urgent, so we can plan the right time.

Will I know the cost before treatment starts?

Yes. After the examination we explain the treatment plan and its cost before starting, and we present alternatives when they exist. If anything changes during treatment, we discuss it with you before going further, so there are no surprises.

Do you treat children and adults in the same clinic?

Yes. Dr. Soumaya Ajam, whose specialty is children's dentistry, treats children of all ages, while Dr. Abdel Rahman Ajam focuses on prosthetic and aesthetic care for adults. Families can often plan visits together; just let us know when you book.

What languages do you speak at the clinic?

We can explain your treatment in Arabic, English or French, so you understand every step clearly. This is especially helpful for patients from the diaspora and for families who prefer French or English for medical explanations.

Do you see emergency patients?

Yes, we try to see patients with pain, swelling or a broken tooth as quickly as possible. Send a WhatsApp message or call, describe your symptoms, and mention any swelling, fever or difficulty swallowing, which need urgent attention.

Do you offer orthodontic treatment?

No, orthodontics such as braces and clear aligners is not offered at our clinic. We focus on prosthetic and cosmetic dentistry, children's dentistry, extractions, root canal treatment, implants and preventive care.

Have a question about your teeth?

Send a WhatsApp message to Dr. Abdel Rahman Ajam or Dr. Soumaya Ajam, or call the clinic to book a consultation.
